Kathryn Dove was born and raised in Virginia. She attended Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she participated in the drama club and the debate team. Upon graduation, she attended Virginia Tech where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy & Political Science. At Virginia Tech, Kathryn was a music minor and studied voice, piano, and guitar. Kathryn is an accomplished guitarist and self-taught classical pianist.While in college, Kathryn began working part-time as a department store model for Calvin Klein. During an event in Virginia Beach, she had the opportunity to work with supermodel Claudia Schiffer. Kathryn continued working as a model until she graduated from college.After college, Kathryn moved to San Diego where she attended the University of San Diego School of Law. After earning her Juris Doctor degree, she began lecturing at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State. Seeking a way to use her modeling experience and creative talents, Dove moved to New Mexico and began working in film. She has worked on a number of TV shows and feature films.
