Katherine Kingsley is a British actress. Born on Christmas Eve 1981 and raised in Cambridge, England, Katherine studied theatre at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and the English National Opera's The Knack. Katherine has performed in iconic venues such as the Donmar Warehouse and the Menier Chocolate Factory, as well as the Chichester Theatre and many other West End venues. She has received critical praise for her turn as Marlene Dietrich in the Donmar production of Piaf, which led to an Olivier nomination in 2009. Furthermore, Katherine's portrayal of Lina Lamont in the 2012 Chichester Festival theatre production of Singing In The Rain, led to a second nomination for an Olivier Theatre Award.As part of the ensemble for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Katherine also received a nomination for What's on Stage awards in 2012. Also, she has recently worked alongside Caroline Quentin, Rory Bremner and Patricia Hodge in the critically acclaimed Noel Coward comedy Relative Values at the Theatre Royal, Bath, which was directed by Sir Trevor Nunn.The year 2013 proved to be a promising year for Katherine as she played the character of Helena, opposite Davis Walliams and Sheridan Smith in the Michael Grandage Company's production of A Midsummer's Night Dream". Directed by Michael Grandage himself, the production ran from 7th September to 16th November 2013 at London's Noel Coward Theatre. In 2014 she took the female lead in the musical version of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' with Robert Lindsay.In addition to her stage work, Katherine has also worked for BBC and ITV in various TV projects including, The Bill and Casualty.
