Kashif Hussain, is a young Pakistani actor, director and a dancer. He had his early acting education from NAPA and then went to University of Texas, America on scholarship for movement and theater training. He started his theater acting career with the play 'Neik Parveen', directed by the legend Zia Mohyeddin, in 2011. And after that he did several plays with different theater production houses including, Court Martial, Fasana e Aja'eb and Mowgli's Jungle. For those he got appreciated by not only the audience but the critics. A short film called Jaleebi was his first as a film actor. In that he marked his place on screen as well. He did remarkable work in several other short films,like 'The game play' or 'Love story but Jaleebi by Shajee Hasan stood out as best of them. His directorial debut was a venturous and innovative as he chose to improvise Ibsen's play 'the Ghost' for 'the Young Directors Festival, 2015 hosted by NAPA Repertory Theater, by replacing the dialogues with silence, movement and dance. And it came out of his philosophy that 'Silence' is our first language that is why it's the purest and most communicative of all, especially when it is about conveying the emotions. After that he also co-directed a play with Quetta an American director for the International Theater Festival, 2015, hosted by NAPA Repertory Theater, Pakistan. He has been doing dance performance as well, out of all the Clothing, Movement, Spirituality and The Warrior, were praised by the people most. Recently, he is getting himself engaged with T.V. dramas, directed by renowned directors of Pakistan. Till now, the young and endowed Kashif Hussain has been a bright and talented actor and director. And in future aspire do a lot more hard work, to be better.
