Karina was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. As a child she would try to play any instrument that she had in front of her, also dance and sing songs in front of her family and friends. That's why her father bought her first guitar when she was 7 and she learned how to play and sing at school. She wrote her first song when she was 11 and performed in every event she could. After graduated she decided to go to law school and music school at the same time. She graduated for EMAS (Escuela de Musica Alvin Schutmaat) and finished the 5 basic years of law school. When she was 20, she got into the finalists of Popstars from Caracol TV Colombia and started modeling and singing more. That passion brought her to Miami, where she model for big designers and performed every week singing in one of the most prestigious private clubs in Miami Beach where she got to create her famous Karaoke nights and sing for big stars like Gloria and Emilio Estefan, John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston, Bon Jovi's band and others. She always loved acting and took many lessons with Hector Zabaleta (Telemundo Coach), Carlos Perez (Venevision International Director and coach), recently with Adriana Barraza (Oscar Nominated actress), Stewart Solomon & Lori Wyman (casting director). Her career started going up when she was called to be on Model Latina for SITV in Los Angeles and other productions for Telemundo, Venevision and Mun2 TV. She booked her first Movie speaking scene on Ironman 3 where she worked with Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Kingsley, released on 2013. Show less «
