Hollywood's freshest face is multi-dimensional talent, Kaalan Rashad Walker, better known as KR. The 22year-old Los Angeles native is a rapper, actor and dancer, who is taking the entertainment industry by storm. With an upcoming album, a starring role in Sony's highly anticipated film "Superfly," and starring opposite Halle Berry and Daniel Craig in "KINGS," 2018 is sure to be the year of KR.Using music as one of his creative mediums, he brings a refreshing and unique new sound to hip-hop. Despite comparisons to Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino, KR has a sound all his own. Signed to Empire Records, he has performed and toured with artists such as G Eazy, A$AP Ferg, School Boy Q, Isaiah Rashad, Waka Flocka and more. In 2017, KR released his EP "The Intermission" featuring the single Real Talk. He also released the single It Could Happen, which debuted at #13 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart, and has millions of streams across the Spotify and Apple Music platforms.Crossing over into acting, KR made his debut in the film "KINGS" at the Toronto Independent Film Festival starring alongside Halle Berry and Daniel Craig. The film tells the story of a family in turmoil during the notorious 1992 Los Angeles riots and is due in theaters on April 27. He is currently in production for a starring role as 'Juju' in Sony's "SUPERFLY," a remake of the 1972 blaxploitation crime drama. Hip-hop star Future will produce with the acclaimed Director X directing. It is set to hit theaters on June 15.KR got his start in Hollywood through dancing. In high school, he and a group of friends formed a dance collective called "Marvel Inc" whose specialty was in the dance style "jerking" that had taken the west coast by storm. Marvel Inc. became widely popular throughout the city, garnering a huge following on YouTube, with several videos receiving over 2 million views.
