Born a Brooklyn native, Justiin Davis showed an appreciation for the arts, theatre and performing at an early age. He booked his first commercial at the age of 3.From the age of 3 Davis performed in small productions in the New York area and after graduating from elementary school Davis entered the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) whose alumni include Grammy Award winning R&B artist Alicia Keys, Oscar nominee Jesse Isenberg (The Social Network), Sarah Hyland (of Modern Family) and many many others.As a model, Davis has appeared in print and broadcast ads for major companies such as Apple, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Gatorade, Macy*s, JC Penney, Nike, Verizon Wireless, KFC, Footlocker, Puma, Best Buy and many others fortune 500 companies.Davis made his big-screen debut in The Taking of Pelham 123, alongside Denzel Washington. Following his debut, Davis has made numerous television appearances in acclaimed series, including 30Rock, The Good Wife, Law & Order, & The Sopranos. Davis has also appeared in the animated feature The Beach Chronicles, as the voice of Winon (Official Selection of the Miami Film Festival); and the Indie feature Fathers Day.In 2011, Davis was cast as Lester White on HBO's Emmy winning drama, Boardwalk Empire. Prior to joining the cast and until present day, Boardwalk Empire has gone on to win numerous awards including Emmy's for directing, acting, best ensemble, & set design as well as a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Motion Picture/Television."As the young son of gangster and bootlegger, Chalky White, played by Michael K. By December Davis also obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Brooklyn Colleges Acting Conservatory, as a full-time student. He received a Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA).After graduating from Brooklyn College Davis received a high honorable recognition by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz for his philanthropy work; support/encouragement for the youth; and his relentless determination & success in beginning and continuing to make his dreams a reality. Early in 2012 Davis was named one of the "Most Stylish New Yorkers" by Time Out New York. As well as XEX Magazine's (pronounced "X") "Ones to Watch"; alongside Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga) and several others. By mid 2012, after beginning work on Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire, Justiin was named "Man of the Month" by Essence Magazine and one of the "Movers and Shakers of 2012" according to NV Magazine.During production of Boardwalk's third season Davis began expanding his resume by taking a step toward the stage. He began work on the first New York reading of Mr. Rickey Calls a Meeting by Ed Schmidt, produced by the Tony Award winning Lookingglass Theatre Company.Outside of acting Davis is working on building an Arts program for New York's 200 year old Mission Society which works with inner city schools. He plans on bringing the arts to kids who, like him, weren't always told their dreams could be a reality. He is also working in collaboration with photographer Marc Baptise and Supermodel Selita EBanks for the rebuilding of Haitian Schools and Orphanages which were affected during the 2010 earthquake.Davis, at this moment, is working on Season 4 of Boardwalk Empire, set to begin airing September 8th.
