Joya Kazi is an Indian-American choreographer and actress born in Mumbai and raised in the Bay Area, California. She founded her entertainment company, Joya Kazi Unlimited, at 16 years old and began working in both the Hollywood and Indian Film Industries. Joya moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to further pursue her career in dance & acting. She is a Top 5 Universal Dance Award Nominee for Favorite Concept Video and on the DissDash list for Top 50 Coolest South Asians of 2019.She has appeared in projects spanning Hollywood to India such as in TV Shows Never Have I Ever (Netflix), New Girl (FOX), Dance Deewane (Colors TV) and Dance Plus (Star Plus), in Commercials for Walmart, Hyundai, Radio Shack and Wow Skin Science, in Music Videos for DJ Snake ft. Lauv "A Different Way", Raja Kumari "I Did It", The Strokes " Threat of Joy", and in Indian feature Films "I am Singh", and "Na Peru Surya Na Illa India."Joya double majored in Political Science and Theatre & Dance with an emphasis in Choreography & Production Management at UC Davis with a minor in Managerial Economics.
