Josh Schell started working as an actor on stage in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of his theater credits include productions of Heroes of the Fourth Turning by Will Arbery, In the Red and Brown Water by Tarell Alvin McCraney, The Nether by Jennifer Haley, A Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee. His on-screen credits include Bite Size Halloween: Poppet (2021) (Hulu), Other Side of the Box (2018) (Best Midnight Short, SXSW 2019), For the Coyotes (2015) (premiered at the BendFilm Festival), The Whistler (2013), and more. He studied and performed at the A.C.T. Young Conservatory in San Francisco and went on to earn a BFA from the USC School of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
