J.J. Totah is an immensely talented actor, comedian, singer, and writer with a gift for bringing dynamic characters to life. As he fearlessly evolves his body of work with each new project, Totah is fast proving to be one of Hollywood's most engaging and sought after young talents.Totah can be seen in Chris Kelly's award-winning feature Other People opposite Jesse Plemons, Molly Shannon, Bradley Whitford, and Zach Woods. The film premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival where he received rave reviews for his riveting performance. Variety included Totah in their 2016 Breakout Stars portfolio and InStyle Magazine named him as one of their 10 Rising Stars to Watch in addition to Most Inspirational Person at Sundance.He recently wrapped two major feature films: Sony Pictures and Marvel Studio's highly anticipated reboot Spider-man: Homecoming opposite Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton and Donald Glover with Jon Watts directing, and Disney's Magic Camp, starring alongside Jeffrey Tambor, Adam Devine, and Gillian Jacobs with Mark Waters directing and Suzanne Todd producing. At the age of 15, he sold his first television pitch to Universal Television/NBC. The single camera sitcom with the working title "Aunt Nancy" had Totah set to produce alongside Adam and Naomi Scott, as well as star in it. He is currently working on new original projects/scripts.Along with his thriving acting and writing career, Totah is also a celebrity ambassador for GLAAD, and an active supporter of GLSEN, an organization that champions LGBTQ issues in schools.
