Jesse Bernal was born in the Province of Manila, Philippines. He moved to the United States before the age of 1 with his parents, Mario Bernal and Natividad Pido. His father served 23 years in the USAF. His mother works for the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, TX. He has one older brother, Ernesto Bernal, and one older sister, Natie Sutton, as well as two younger half-sisters, Nina Bernal and Teresa Bernal.Jesse loved playing sports. Whether it be Football, Basketball, Track and Field or swimming. At the age of 5 his parents introduced him to the game of bowling and has continued to play to this day. While attending John Jay high school in San Antonio, TX, he joined the JROTC program and joined the drill team. He was the second Freshman in the school's history to be placed on Varsity mid way through his Freshman year. He excelled, while taking charge of the color guard, presenting the U.S. flag during opening ceremonies for sporting events, such as the San Antonio Iguanas hockey team, The Missions baseball team and the NBA's San Antonio Spurs.Upon completing High School, Jesse followed in his Father's footsteps and joined the USAF. Although only serving 7 years, he was able to attain the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his time in service he was able to ravel to Germany, Iraq, Ireland and South Korea. While stationed at Holloman AFB, NM, he started attending college and took theatre classes. That's when realized his passion for entertaining. During his first year he played in several plays including the Musical "Evita".After his separation from the military in 2008 Jesse realized what he wanted to do. He moved to Los Angeles and pursued his training. He has trained at the New York Film Academy and the Lee Strasberg School of Theater and Film.
