Born and raised in Hungary, Jeno Hodi migrated to the United States in 1982. Having studied with directors Milos Forman, Brian De Palma, John Avildsen and Dusan Makavejev, he received his Master's Degree in writing and directing from Columbia University, and was the first student in its history to write, direct and produce a 35mm feature film while studying in its graduate film program.Throughout his career, Jeno's role as a filmmaker has extended into all areas of production. In addition to selling fifteen screenplays, he has directed and produced several feature films, a variety of commercials, television pilots, and stage plays. As a filmmaker, he is proud of the fact that most actors he has worked with consider him an "actor's director." He has had years of training with some of the finest acting teachers including Milton Katselas' master class, Stella Adler, and the Actor's Studio, where he is a member of the writers/directors unit.In 1994, Jeno, founded CinePartners Entertainment, transitioning his career into producing films. With a rare but essential blend of business excellence, creativity, and passion, CinePartners Entertainment makes independent films on both sides of the Atlantic. Offices are located in Los Angeles, London, Brussels, and Budapest.Apart from the four main bases of operation, CinePartners Entertainment, also has strong working relationships with well-established financiers and producers in Germany, Austria, and Canada.CinePartners Entertainment, specializes in crafting financing solutions to enable companies to produce successful motion pictures. CinePartners can secure funding and structure co-productions for films that have some level of European expenditures, even for those who simply complete post-production in Europe. With offices and numerous partnerships throughout the world, CinePartners can tap into European private and public funding, as well as tax-based financing.Although CinePartners Entertainment focuses on pictures which qualify for European financing, many of these movies can be distributed internationally as commercially viable American films.Upon his return to Hungary, Jeno realized that there is a real need for a film academy which teaches the study of film as a business, and gives international, comprehensive training of the entire film profession. Hence, he founded the Budapest Film Academy and created a joint program with the internationally well-established Hungarian Eötvös Loránd University. The collaboration between Jeno's Budapest Film Academy and Eötvös Loránd University became very successful, semester by semester more and more Hungarian and international students sign up and graduate as young filmmakers. In 2016 the Budapest Film Academy signed a contract with Loyola Marymount University and became the study abroad provider for one of the best US film universities. Since 2016 US students join regularly to the film academy's study abroad program. They are accompanied with a writer/professor from Loyola Marymount University who teaches screenwriting courses at the Budapest Film Academy.
