Born and raised in The Bronx, James began to study Acting at the Lincoln Center campus of Fordham University. In addition, he was introduced to Screenwriting while attending Fordham and later on continued to learn more about the craft at New York University.James made his feature film debut as Dr. Thomas in "The Factory" which was screened at the 2014 Hoboken International Film Festival and last fall he wrapped up filming another feature film, "The Clinic", in which he co-starred as the sneaky Dr. Standback in an off-beat comedy about a dysfunctional dental clinic.He also starred on the off-Broadway stage for the Afrikan Woman's Repertory Theater production of "The Bus Stop" as Senator Alex Halbrooks. A few blocks away in the heart of Times Square he made his stand-up comedic debut back in 2011 at the infamous Caroline's on Broadway. James has also worked on numerous television shows that have aired on CBS, NBC, FOX, HBO, National Geographic and more, plus film projects that have been released to theaters. The Internet has also been a stage for a James to perform on by appearing in several WebSeries and Commercials.In 2013, James published his first book, "Something and Nothing at All", and today he continues to work on his screenwriting and his acting.
