James DiStefano is a respected professional actor and acting teacher with over 20 years of experience in the business. As a lifetime member and teacher in the prestigious The Actor's Studio, James has studied Meisner Technique with co-artistic director Mark Rydell (Oscar nominee for best director), Strasberg Method with Martin Landau (Oscar winner for Best Actor), Barbara Bain (three time Emmy winner), and Susan Peretz, and the Stella Adler Technique with Joanne Linville, all of which he incorporates into his teaching. He has taught classes and worked as a private coach for the past fifteen years. He has taught both adult and teen classes at the Lee Strasberg Institute, The New York Film Academy and East L.A. Classic Theatre. James also actively participates in the Playwrights/Directors Unit under the leadership of the prestigious directors Paul Mazursky (5 Oscar Nominations) and Mark Rydell. James lives in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife of 19 years and the joy and pride of his life his little son.
