Jade Alexander is a British/Australian actor and Producer. Born in Malaysia, to Chinese/Mongolian mother and British father, Jade grew up in Australia. Now Jade is based between London and Australia where, as well as acting, she runs her production company Little Jade Productions.Jade began her career early being cast as the lead role in an Australian mini-series at the age of 7. During this time Jade was also performing on the violin and joined SBS Youth Orchestra, touring to Italy, Malta, Russia, Scotland, USA. Jade also picked up singing, piano and finally viola which she still plays and earned a Licentiate of Music (LMusA). After continuing to perform on stage in both music and acting, she was offered a place at a prestigious acting school in Sydney to train in her passion. After graduating from drama school Jade continued her career working on the acclaimed Australian TV series Young Lions, and most notably the feature film Damaged Goods which won festivals in 2009 and is playing in the States. Her acclaimed performance in Le Violoncelle, where Jade stars as Kiki De Montparnasse, Ray Man's muse which recreates his famous photographs in moving images. This film has gone onto festivals around the world including Montreal Film Festival, Paris, London, and the Academy accredited Flickerfest Festival. It's also been shown at the Art Gallery of NSW.She has gone on to enthrall UK audiences with films The Missing Day where Jade stars alongside Neil McDermott & Nina Touissant White.Jade also stars in upcoming love story Sparks & Embers starring Kris Marshall. And, A Perfect Soldier where she plays a Helen Casa, a scientist intent on human testing, with Gareth Roberts (The Mortician) attached to direct. Jade will be the Baudelaire's muse in the exciting feature Baudelaire's Women produced by Zelica Films (Le Fear).
