Prior to receiving theater training at Northern Illinois University, Larry Moss Studio, and various studios in Chicago, Indrajit Sarkar earned his MBA Finance degree from Northern Illinois University and gained experience in corporate finance, business development, and consultative sales. He performed in the Off-Broadway and Los Angeles Premiers of American Magic and in the World Premier of Baby Taj at Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts in Northern California.Originally from India, he is now settled in Los Angeles. He is very familiar as well as has experience in working in the Indian Film Industry and is well positioned with several renowned directors/producers/executives in India. Indrajit was a member of Open Fist Theatre Company in Los Angeles from 2000 to 2005 and performed in various productions including Mary and Bruce, Flight, Songs of Joy and Destitution, and The King Stag. Other Los Angeles theater performances include Asylum and SubUrbia. All of which contributed to his earning roles in Off-Broadway as well as regional productions. He worked with Thomas Gibson and Mandy Patinkin in CBS hit series Criminal Minds as well as Mary-Louise Parker in Showtime's Weeds and can also be seen in other film/television productions such as Jodha-Akbar, Outsourced, Bronx County (Pilot), The Auteur Theory, Turbans, Johnny Mastana, Delhi-6, and Second Story.He is fascinated by spirituality. And as much as he enjoys playing variety of characters in different genres, Indrajit hopes to be part of stories that are spiritually or mystically insightful - that enlighten as well as entertain.
