Hunter was born in Montana, USA, and ever since he could speak, he has been passionate about film and acting. After countless local theater productions, Hunter booked a lead role in his first-ever film audition for the low-budget children's movie "Jack the Bitterroot Beagle: The Golden Bone" ("Jack's Big Adventure" in the UK), in which he voiced the title character at the age of only 9.
