Slender and attractive blonde dancer and choreographer Helene Phillips was born on September 24, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Helene was a dance major at UCLA and had a year long scholarship at the Roland Dupree Dance Academy. She began performing at Playboy Clubs and private disco clubs in Los Angeles. Phillips toured with Harry Blackstone, Jr.'s magic act and toured Japan for four months in various shows. Helene was one of the original dancers on the hugely popular music variety TV series "Solid Gold" from 1980 to 1982. Besides dancing on "Solid Gold," Phillips was also an assistant to choreographer Kevin Carlisle. After leaving "Solid Gold" Helene has gone on to a very successful career as a dancer and choreographer. Phillips was featured as a dancer not only in the made-for-TV picture "The Girl, the Gold Watch & Dynamite," but also the theatrical movies "Staying Alive," "Going Berserk," and "Dr. Detroit." Helene also appeared in the pilot for the hit TV series "Airwolf." She worked as a dance choreographer on the films "A Chorus Line," "Jane Austen's Mafia!," "Papa's Angels," and "Bad Boy." Phillips was an assistant choreographer for Michael Jackson's 17-minute space fantasy opus "Captain Eo" and the choreographer on the music videos "Walk the Dinosaur" by Was Not Was, "The Way You Love Me" by Karyn White, and "Weatherman Says" by Jack Wagner. Helene was Madonna's assistant choreographer on her "Who's That Girl?" world tour. Moreover, Helene has worked as a choreographer on TV commercials for K-Mart, GTE Communications, and Milde Sorte Cigarettes.
