Hanns Manship was a director/actor on stage, film and TV for 20 years. Majoring in communications/theater, Hanns enjoyed a varied career in the performing arts. He toured the dinner theater circuits out of NYC, eventually building and becoming Exec. Director of two dinner theaters in Arizona, (and was a member of the Arizona Stuntmen's Association). In the mid-70's he moved to Hollywood where he appeared in a dozen films and TV shows. In the early 80's, Hanns appeared in a one man commercial nominated for a Clio award. As a musician and instrument builder, Hanns was, for 9 years, founder/director of the Doreshure Minstrels, an acoustic vocal group that performed historical music dating from 100 to 3,000 years ago. Hanns retired in 2013 as Executive Vice President of a 70 year old international Christian radio ministry, which provided aid to the poor and oppressed. Hanns was involved in radio and television media for over 30 years. An avid scuba diver, Hanns started diving over 50 years ago, mainly because the TV show "Sea Hunt" captured his imagination. He has been fortunate enough over the years to have dived at the world's best locations. On a fact finding trip to Israel, Hanns was able to dive at the newly opened underwater archaeological site of King Herod's sunken harbor at Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea. Hanns presently lives with his wife in Southern California.
