Gobi M. RahimiAn experienced and budget conscious director with an eye for innovation. Gobi Rahimi is an English-born writer, producer and director. He has cultivated an extensive career in film, television, branding and social media over the past 18 years with over 360 credits across multiple platforms.Most recently, Gobi produced and directed a doc series for AOL/TechCrunch on the current eco-climate of Silicon Valley, and prior to that, a recreation show pilot for VH1 with Joke Productions. He also directed and produced commercials for Nestle's Hot Pockets. His spot for Hot Pockets, starring Snoop Lion, garnered 750,000,000 media impressions. His series of viral videos/ARG (alternative reality gaming) for Nestle's Butterfinger starring Seth Green garnered over a billion media impressions. Gobi is producing upcoming a surfing film, "Tubed 3D," which is being directed by Dana Brown (Step Into Liquid, Endless Summer 2).He is developing a narrative film project he wrote based on the last 7 days in the life of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, entitled "7Dayz."Gobi directed a documentary for Draeger Pharmaceuticals on neonatal care of premature babies, which debuted on a global web platform. He also directed and produced a series of commercials, viral videos, and mini-docs for the brand The House of Marley. He has directed spots for such international brands as Pepsi, Microsoft, Systemac, among others. Additionally, he directed the first in a series of comedy narratives for Levity Entertainment entitled "My Two Worlds". His television series "First In," which followed the lives of Compton firefighters, premiered on the BET Network.Additionally, he created the 3DX Film Festival in Singapore, and Hong Kong 3D Film Festival, which drew attendees which included the CEO's of Disney, Dreamworks, and FOX.A lifelong lover of music, he has produced and directed music videos for artists including Yoko Ono and Snoop Dogg. He also produced the star-studded music video documentary for the rerecording of, "Wake Up Everybody", the 1960's R & B classic by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Drawing on his own multi-cultural background, he oversaw the collaboration of a diverse range of musical talents including Mary J. Blige, Marie Ben-Ari, Jadakiss, Jamie Fox, Missy Elliott, Wyclef Jean, with genius music producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds. The release benefited America Coming Together (ACT).Away from the camera, Gobi is also a published author. His book "Thru My Eyes", a collection of photography and prose inspired by Tupac Shakur, was published by Simon & Schuster/Atria Books.
