Born on the Big Island's small town of Hilo, George San Miguel Kamea's parents hoped he would become the future governor of Hawaii. Intent on pursuing a political career with the United Nations, George graduated Cal State Los Angeles with a B.A. in Political Science. He soon realized that his love for Acting outgrew his desire for power. Concentrating his efforts towards building a strong foundation in drama George began his formal training under journeyman actor Patrick Gorman. At CSULA he was cast into his first play as Hideo in the "Wondrous Tales of Old Japan". Later he played a ruthless Soldier in "The American Pilot". Soon after George was chosen to represent CSULA at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Ogden, Utah. Alongside his love of acting, George retains a passionate obsession with the martial arts, holding a 1st Degree Black Belt in Aikido under Haruo Matsuoka Sensei. He surfs in his spare time, plays chess, studies Japanese, and looks forward to being a fluent French and Spanish speaker. Aikido and Acting have kept him responsible and disciplined, thus allowing him to eventually become a high profile, skilled and respected member of the acting profession.
