Born in Sicily, April 23 1969, Gaetano Guarino spent his early childhood in France, and in 1974 his family settled in Tuscany.Gaetano began his acting career in 1988 recording the voice over for Carlo Romiti's production of Giovanni Boccaccio's "Nastagio degli Onesti". He has since worked extensively as a Voice Over artist in the Italian and French languages and in English for American television documentaries. In 2004 the CD "Per non Dormire" was released in Italy featuring Guarino's readings of Blake, Flaubert, and Comte de Lautreamont's controversial "Songs of Maldoror".In 2001 Triage Entertainment cast Guarino in the role of an Italian Investigator in the first season of Fox's Scariest Places on Earth (2000). Upon renewing SPOE's second season, Fox executives specifically requested Guarino's return for multiple episodes, resulting in an intensely personal journey into "The Lair of the Wickedest Man on Earth". Not only was it an emotional experience for the actor to return to his homeland of Sicily for filming, but the visit to the former Abbey of Aleister Crowley was especially relevant given Guarino's connections to the eccentric cult leader and magician: In his early years Gaetano was a member of the "Temple of Psychic Youth" a fraternal order based on the writings of Crowley (as well as Austin Osman Spare and William Burroughs).Guarino studied acting in Florence at Il Fiore and trained with Florentine Director and acting coach Giacomo Rosselli. He is a founder of the Florence-based acting ensemble, "The Order". Show less «
