Gabriel Luke (Gabe) Egan is an Australian actor who was born on September 30, 1976 in Melbourne. His parents Maureen (Bartlett) and Michael Egan are both school teachers who moved the family to Bendigo in country Victoria where Gabriel was raised.Gabriel was awarded the highest mark in the state of Victoria for Drama (Yr 12, 1994), and moved back to Melbourne at the age of 18 to pursue his acting career.Gabriel immediately began making a name for himself playing dangerous characters on Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Good Guys Bad Guys and Thunderstone.Gabriel's a handy basketballer having represented Bendigo (The Braves) as a teenager, and his profile began to rise when he became the host of channel 10's NBL Slam for two seasons.
