An introvert at heart, Fir Rahman discovered his passion for acting and hosting when he entered a talent search competition by MediaCorp Suria channel in 2002, and emerged as winner. He further honed his craft in subsequent years, acting in several theatre productions by Teater Kami, while continuing to star in various television dramas, variety and infotainment shows on Suria and Channel 5.Some of the more notable experiences in his TV career includes his main supporting role as a newspaper reporter who follows a murder case in Selamat Malam Maria (Suria, 2012), a convicted murderer in In Cold Blood (MediaCorp Channel 5, 2013), a police detective who tracks down a serial killer in 9 Nyawa (Suria, 2013), and recently, he held a main supporting role in Kosmopolitan (Suria, 2015) as the loving husband to one of the show's main leads, who experiences a major setback in his personal life. His latest project in 2016 is Bingit 3, which saw him carry the role of a famous actor with bipolar disorder, one who almost ended his and his son's life.In early 2014, he captured the attention of viewers across the causeway, having starred as the lead actor in Ramadan Jangan Pergi on TV3 in Malaysia, where he portrayed the role of a loving-turned-violent husband, alongside popular industry names such as Sheila Rusly, Dato Eizlan Yusof, and Siti Saleha.Fir broke into Channel 5 in 2015, having starred in Lion Moms, one of the channel's tent-pole dramas that year. He played the supportive, charming and loving husband to one of the three leading ladies of the show, played by Nurul Aini.Fir recently concluded shooting his first ever local feature film, Apprentice, where he carries the lead role of the apprentice to Singapore's final executioner. Veteran Malaysian TV and theatre actor Wan Hanafi Su, and popular local actress Mastura Ahmad, also stars in this film. Apprentice is local film maker Boo Junfeng's highly anticipated second film. Produced by celebrated industry figure, Eric Khoo, Apprentice will hit the local screens on 30 June 2016.As testament to his onscreen appeal, Fir was recently nominated as one of Suria's most popular male personalities in Pesta Perdana 2015.Fir's other interest is fitness. Apart from being a regular gym-goer, he is also a certified personal trainer.
