Eric Chambers was born and raised in San Diego, California. He attended California State University at Northridge in 1983 majoring in Theatre and Film. Right after college he went to work for Universal Studios in their live action shows which lead him to a successful career as a stuntman and stunt coordinator for major motion pictures.In 1992 Chambers enrolled in the American Film Institute's Directors workshop. Upon completing the program in 1993, he was hired to write and produce the feature screenplay "Deadly Metal" to be directed by Penelope Spheeris. In 1996 he wrote and directed "The Last Detour" which won Best Live-Action Short Film at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and garnered serious critical acclaim at the Riverton International Film Festival.In 1999 he teamed-up with Academy Award©-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. to write the feature screenplay "Side Effects". Then in 2005, wrote, directed and produced the indie action feature "Movin' Too Fast" which was recently released on video. He is in the process of casting his next film "North of Sunset" which is being produced by Yari Film Group. He also wrote two other projects that are in development: "The Au Pair" and "Under the Radar".
