Emmeline Kellie was born in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. She started attending acting classes at the Valle Academy of Performing Arts when she was 11 where she continued to train for three years until she moved to Torquay, Devon. In Torquay, she continued to pursue acting through GCSE Drama and BTEC Performing Arts at school and college.Whilst studying Media, Photography and Performing Arts in her A-Levels, Emmeline picked up a camera found a new love for filmmaking. She filmed and edited her first short film 'Lonely Paths' when she was 15, and it was screened at the BFI in London two years later. She started working on documentaries with 'v-Inspired', and one of these won a First Light Award in 2011.She then went on to study Media Production at the University of Derby with a particular focus in Film & TV Production in which she received a 1st Class Honours degree. Whilst at university, she found more acting opportunities and proceeded to act in over 30 short films and local projects and had several works screened locally. Throughout her degree, she also trained at The Actors Workshop Nottingham where she still attends classes once a week.In 2016, she produced her first short film 'Hunted' (directed by Owen Tooth), and then wrote, produced and starred in 'Cadence' which was funded by the AA Charitable Trust who launched the film in November 2016 as part of their year-long driver distraction campaign.Dramas and thrillers that represent issues faced in real life are what drive Emmeline's passion for film. 'Seven Pounds' is one that has inspired her to write, produce and perform material that delivers a message to its audience and enables people to learn from characters' mistakes. Show less «
