Edward graduated with a Master's degree in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2008 and worked briefly as a banker before returning to acting full-time. He has an extensive amount of experience on stage and on screen, as well as being a prolific voice artist - he has voiced over 400 Radio and TV ads, in addition to documentaries, corporate videos, and various animated series.He now splits his time between his acting and voice work, lecturing at NUS (he specialises in Performance Studies and Acting Theory), corporate training for MNCs and governments, as well as hosting events and leveraging on his financial experience to moderate panels and forums for the Singapore Exchange, Singapore's only stock market operator.
