A native Londoner, Ed Sanders is an accomplished actor and host of numerous British shows, most notably "Fear Factor U.K." In the Spring of 2004, Sanders moved from England to California to try his luck at the American entertainment industry, and he soon landed his first job in U.S. television on ABC's reality TV phenomenon, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." He joined the design team and is quickly making his mark here in the States.Sanders discovered his passion for entertaining at the early age of eleven when he appeared as a drummer in a rock video. He went on to land various acting and hosting jobs in local theaters, cable networks and commercial spots. From the raw and chaotic travel game show, "Flying Start," to a spot on the ever-popular entertainment news show, "The Buzz," Sanders was busy building an impressive resume. He hosted his very own pop-culture TV show, "Toasted," where he interviewed some of the biggest names in music, film and television. After shooting 26 episodes, Ed turned his attentions back to acting. He soon won a lead role on the award-winning television series, "Dream Team," playing the role of 'Eddie Moliano' in this drama about a premier soccer team. While working for two seasons on the show, Sanders was also simultaneously hosting a popular dating show, "Dial-A-Date," which kept him busy seven days a week. Sanders was exhausted by the work load and loving every minute of it.Once he landed the job as host for "Fear Factor U.K." in 2002, his popularity skyrocketed, and he became a household name all over the United Kingdom. Shortly after wrapping his third season with "Fear Factor U.K.," he filmed three independent films with some of England's hottest up-and-coming directors. In 2003, Sanders co-hosted "Demolition Day" for England's Channel 4. He loves to make furniture and looks forward to building tables for the kitchen and dining room of their new home.In his spare time, the family-oriented Sanders enjoys biking with his wife and son, cooking English Sunday dinners such as Bangers and Mash (sausage and mash potato), boogie boarding, playing video games and keeping in shape with weights.Sanders loves animals and has a Persian cat named Gypsy (brought over from England) and a Himalayan cat named Bella (from his wife's hometown of Chicago). He also has an affinity for children and lends his support to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. While filming "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," Sanders stays in touch with family and friends through Apple isight, which allows him to read bedtime stories to his son from the road. He loves all kinds of music and plays harmonica and guitar.
