DuRa Brown is a trained A&P and avionic technician who recently returned to his childhood passion of acting. DuRa was born in Chicago IL in 1975, the eldest of three siblings, he has two sisters. DuRa was always a natural performer and began acting and performing in church as small child. He later moved onto theatrical productions in primary and secondary school. He briefly attended Lincoln Park High School for Performing Arts in Chicago. The family later relocated to Montgomery Al. DuRa then attended Sidney Lanier High School and Auburn University-Montgomery Campus and continue developing his acting skills with various classes.DuRa cultivated his ease in front of the camera while making mockumentaries and original shorts with his first cousin Drew Watkins. DuRa would happily play the villain, action hero, romantic lead, comic relief, etc. while Drew would act as director, writer and cameraman. Drew has since gone on to become a sixteen times Emmy Award winning television director and producer. So it was inevitable that DuRa should return to his first love, acting.Since 2012, DuRa has appeared in multiply televisions productions, independent films, and big budget productions. He is skilled in various arts and sports. He is experience in kick-boxing, karate-self defense, advance tactical weapons, motocross, motorcycles, basketball, football, swimming, and stage combat. His athleticism's enabled him to easily adapt to stunts and action in films.DuRa lives in Conyers, GA and works in the Atlanta area. He is well known for his professionalism and work ethics. As an emerging local talent, DuRa is loved and well respected within the Atlanta film community.
