Deborah Offner was born in NYC. Her father was Mortimer Offner, a blacklisted screenwriter. He wrote many of Katherine Hepburn's early films, was a well known portrait and studio photographer, and directed and produced on television and Broadway before his career was cut short. Her mother, Pauline, was a photography editor and worked for the first medical photography journal, "Scope". Deborah went to Sarah Lawrence College and NYU School Of The Arts. She has worked extensively in NY and regional theatre, including "Hair" on Broadway and many plays at Joseph Papp's Public Theatre, and 4 summers at the Eugene O'Neill Playwright's Conference. She currently (2010) lives in NY and Los Angeles, and is a song writer, playwright and director as well as an actress. Show less «
