In addition to acting, Deana has a Degree in Film Production and has spent the last few years working as a Producer, Production Manager and Production Designer for music videos. Deana also does some ghost writing and script doctoring of screenplays.Originally from Washington D.C., Deana grew up in a multi-cultural household, seventh of her father's nine children. "Coming from a multi-ethnic background has definitely provided me a unique perspective on people and cultures. I use this in my acting and writing all the time", she says. Her training began at Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory and after attending her first audition and booking a one-year tour, Deana headed to American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. While in NYC, Deana appeared in several Off-Broadway shows Including "Harriett Tubman Visits a Therapist", which won the Samuel French Shorts competition. She also began her television and film career in NYC, working on "Law and Order", "The Chris Rock Show" and several others.In her spare time, Deana attends as many live music events as she can and is also very active in local Politics. She was a Delegate to the DNC in 2016 and was an Elected Delegate to California's Assembly District 62. Deana is also a Special Needs advocate, whose focus is helping parents obtain services for their children who are on the Autism spectrum. She is an Autism mom herself, who took time off from acting to care for her son. Travel, is one of Deana's favorite hobbies. She lived in Denmark for several years and travels back yearly to visit family and fiends.Deana can be seen in the award winning Web-series, "Fauk My Life", where she plays the role of Mrs. Fauk. She also just wrapped the film "What Really Matters", and she was recently awarded a scholarship for The Groundlings. Yes, she's funny too! Be on the lookout for much more to come from Deana!
