David Matthew Jenkins is an American actor born on August 21, 1973 in Evansville, Indiana. Known as Matt, in his hometown of Boonville, Indiana, Jenkins dreamed of moving to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor. However, following high school graduation, he was extended an offer to one of the nation's oldest military colleges and awarded an Army ROTC federal scholarship. He studied as a cadet at Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama, and at the age of 20, was commissioned as an Army officer. He further studied at Indiana University earning a bachelor's degree in Education with a concentration in English and History, and he later earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Indiana State University. Pursuing a career move to Hawaii, he began auditioning and appearing in local commercials. His relaxed Midwestern style soon proved an asset as directors found him easy to work with on camera. He was cast in the independent film ForGet Him (2013), as Will the Mechanic, a local town gossip who owned an auto repair shop. His next role soon followed in Los Angeles, in the sequel film, Wiener Dog Internationals (2014), where he played the role of the exuberant race photographer. His most dramatic portrayal is as Calvin, a sinister and violent cop who is the kingpin of corruption in the movie Popolo (2015). Most recently, he stars in the comedy Juniper Lane (2016). David Matthew Jenkins is also the author of the book, " Becoming A Great Leader, " developing your leadership attributes to better serve your organization. The self-help genre work discusses numerous techniques for leaders and Jenkins talks about his many experiences leading people. The book is scheduled for publication in 2016. Show less «
