David was born in Camarillo, California and moved to Waseca, Minnesota when he was still young.His family moved to Minneapolis in 1971. David grew up in Minneapolis and was fortunate to be a student-actor in the world renown Minneapolis Children's Theatre Company studying both acting and the technical aspects of live theatre, participating in many productions, both on stage and behind the scenes.After graduating from Patrick Henry High School, David attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis studying Radio and Television Broadcasting.David worked radio for several years, working at several stations as a morning announcer and program director.He returned to Minnesota in 1985 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota earning a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from the Carlson School of Business Management in 1990.David married Andrea Vogel in 1990 and now lives on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
