Originally from the Chicago suburbs, David Alan Morrison had lived in many cities before he decided to call the Pacific Northwest home. His working class parents were disappointed that he was more interested in theatre, acting and the writing than he was in a career in business and did little to encourage his dreams of being a writer/actor. Nonetheless, he went on to study at the famed Goodman Theatre. He drifted away from acting in college where he studied American Sign Language Interpreting. It wasn't until graduate school at the University of Kentucky, that he reconnected with his love of the arts. He acted in a string of low paying, low profile work in student films, training films and local commercials while gaining a solid reputation as a theatrical director. In 2013, he published two of his books and one of his short plays. He resides in Seattle, Washington.
