Filmmaker Darin Ferriola has directed, written, and produced three independent feature films which have all premiered on major television networks and have sold domestically over 300,000 DVDs combined. In 2007, First Look Pictures released Ferriola's romantic comedy Mr. Fix It. Starring David Boreanaz, Alana De La Garza, and Paul Sorvino, Mr. Fix It has sold over 170,000 DVDs domestically (ranked top comedy at Blockbuster for Feb. 2007). Ferriola's second feature, the sci-fi adventure Soulkeeper, premiered on the SyFy Channel in 2002 as the first ever SyFy Pictures release. Described in Fangoria Magazine as "Dude, Where's My Relic?," Soulkeeper tells the story of two down-on-their-luck thieves who get hired to steal an ancient talisman capable of resurrecting the dead. Starring Robert Davi, Brad Dourif and Rodney Rowland, Soulkeeper is a high quality adventure film containing over 140 visual effect shots and numerous animatronic creatures. In 2009, producers David Fincher (Seven, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Blur Studio hired Ferriola to write the script The Automatic Detective. Adapted from the book of the same name, The Automatic Detective tells the story of a futuristic robot that uncovers a vast alien conspiracy to take over Earth. Slated to go into production in 2011, The Automatic Detective will be Fincher's first foray into animated feature films. Show less «
