Born and raised in New York, filmmaker Daniel Boneville holds a BFA degree in Film and Television from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where his GPA and creative accomplishments earned him selection to the Dean's Leadership Circle and University Scholars. He graduated with the top of his class, completing all scholastic requirements a year early, and was honored with the Founders' Day Award for outstanding academic excellence. As assistant to NYU film industry liaison, Jeremiah Newton, Daniel had the opportunity to meet an array of the world's most prominent directors, work on-set production positions, and participate in external events like the Hamptons Film Festival-where he has served as both juror and panel speaker. As a result of this employment experience, Academy Award winner Oliver Stone invited him to work at his Ixtlan office in Los Angeles.Daniel has written, directed, photographed, and edited a variety of narrative, experimental, documentary, musical, gastronomic, web, and promotional endeavors; being an experienced piano player, he composed the score for a number of these pieces as well. He has worked throughout the USA and countries abroad as a freelance video artist, primarily functioning as a one-man crew-including collaborations with food journalist, David Rosengarten. After his intense "Yearn" project received recognition on both coasts, Daniel was able to mount "Lily"-starring Peter Facinelli ("Twilight", "Nurse Jackie"); this haunting tale went on to be accepted at multiple film festivals, winning awards for Best Short Film and Cinematography. Oliver Stone called the movie, "intriguing" and "strong in its symbolism". "In a boldly surreal film, Daniel Boneville confidently directs the actors, the camera, and the story, while showing his potential as a fine, young director."Daniel has two of his original screenplays in development, including "Bo"-a touching celebration of his Italian-American heritage and passion for the culinary arts, with Academy Award nominee Danny Aiello ("Do the Right Thing", "Moonstruck") attached in the titular role.As part of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, Daniel cut "Loosies"-a feature showcasing actors Vincent Gallo, Michael Madsen, Joe Pantoliano, and Jaimie Alexander.Daniel is also an inducted member of the Friars Club, which has for generations served the most influential entertainers of our time.
