Dan Crane began acting at age 9, doing plays and theatre work for most of his childhood all the way through college at Wesleyan University where he studied Film. After college, Crane took a break from acting and pursued other careers (software, journalism) and then accidentally found himself starring in Air Guitar Nation-a documentary about competitive air guitar, in which he played both himself, and his air guitar alter-ego "Bjorn Turoque" (pronounced too-RAWK). The New York Times review of the Air Guitar Nation dubbed Crane, "Bill Murray trapped in the body of Sid Vicious."Thanks to his obsession with competitive air guitar, Crane landed guest spots on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Carson Daly show, MTV, and several VH1 'taking head' clip shows. He also created/hosted the game show pilot "The Drinking Game" for Comedy Central, and self-produced and hosted another pilot called "SoundBites" featuring Flight of the Conchords. In 2018, he studied acting for film and television at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In Los Angeles, he's studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre, acting with Gregory Berger-Sobek, standup with Gerry Katzman, and hosting/presenting with Marki Costello. He recently had a speaking role in the feature film Papi Chulo by Irish director John Butler (The Stag, Handsome Devil), and has done voiceovers and commercials for brands like Coke Zero, Amazon, Samsung, Wheat Thins, Macallan, Huawei, Aperol, Wrangler and others.
