Award-winning director Dan Allen wrote his first short film whilst on chemotherapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer in his penultimate year of secondary school, which went on to win the 'Best Young Filmmaker' award at Coca-Cola Cinemagic Film Festival in 2009.
