Damian Jean Neptune was born in Paterson, New Jersey, August 24th, to father, Jean Neptune, (born in Haiti) and mother, Patricia Anne Murdoch, (born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and of Scottish/Irish descent). The family moved to Los Angeles while he was still a toddler. At a very young age, Damian showed much interest in being a performing artist. By age nine, he was poppin' and lockin', for donations on the streets of Hollywood. He started formal training the same year. While growing up and going to school Damian showed very excellent learning ability. He was a smart student who learned quickly and actually at one point in his young teens, wanted to be a doctor. He was constantly creating things, writing stories with interesting plot twists, and drawing vivid pictures. By age 15 he began a professional career in acting, singing, dancing, teaching and as a fine artist. When he was 19, on May 17th, Damian's mother, tragically passed in a car accident. She was managing him and was his best friend and mentor. Trish was a gifted professional dancer, singer and poet in her earlier life in New York and moved onto being a Chaplain and raising her four boys, (Damian's older brother Robby, younger brothers James and Dorian. After a year of hardship and mourning he decided to devote his own legacy in honor of his mother and the belief she had in him. After many, many hours of study in Acting, (eight years with renowned coach, Bobby Lyons), Dance (tap, ballet, Jazz, Ballroom, Gymnastics, Salsa), Singing, Piano, Art. Studying with masters of the Craft and auditions Damian began booking SAG, AFTRA and EQUITY film, TV, theater and commercials. This has propelled him to enjoy many successes as an artist and has allowed Damian to teach and mentor literally thousands of students over the last 15 years. Damian has also devoted his love for children and love for his fellow man to 15 years of benefit and charity work. He has been a spokesperson for The Drug-free Marshals, The Way to Happiness Foundation, Equity Fights AIDS, LA AIDS Project, CCHR, and many under privileged and abused children and homeless organizations. He has lectured to tens of thousands of high school students, and adults on how to succeed as an artist, as well. This, he prides as one of his greatest joys; Helping others!
