Chuck Hustmyre was born in Baton Rouge, LA. He spent 22 years in law enforcement, many of them working in New Orleans. He is a retired federal agent.In addition to writing screenplays, Chuck is the author of five books, both fiction and nonfiction, mostly dealing with cops and killers (sometimes the two are the same). He is also an award-winning journalist and has written more than 700 newspaper and magazine articles.Prior to embarking on his writing career, Chuck did a lot of things that provide grist for his fiction.He was a trained sniper and SWAT team member and has served on numerous federal and local violent crime and fugitive task forces. He has kicked down more doors than he can count, been in a whole bunch of car and foot chases, and one huge gunfight, although he says he walked away from that based more on luck than skill.He owns a Harley-Davidson and his wife, Kristie, has four cats.
