Puerto Rican singer and actor Christian Figueroa was just named by "El Planeta" Newspaper of Boston as "One of the 100 most influential people for the Hispanic community of Massachusetts" power meter list. Mr Figueroa has been profiled on CNN's "Career Connections" and on the People En Español Website. He recently returned from NYC where he was recording & performing again as Principal Singer at Carnegie Hall in The Orchestra Moves, The Orchestra Rocks, & The Orchestra Sings concerts. Christian graduated from Syracuse University and received his Masters in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music. Christian has delighted audiences with his unique combination of vocal and dramatic skills in performances ranging from the stage to the recital hall. He has been featured or stared in over 50 musicals and operas all across the Northeast. Christian was asked and honored to sing the National Anthem at Fenway Park representing the Peace Corps for their 50th Anniversary Celebration in front of 38,000 people. He recently performed and recorded the role of Antigonus in the opera Winter's Tale with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, it can be heard and the BMOP Sound Record Label. Some of Christians opera and theater credits include Tamino in Die Zauberflote, Camille Di Rosillon in La Viuda Alegre, El Toreador in Ainadamar, Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible, Toby Higgins in The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, El Conte Ivrea in Un Giorno Di Regno, Alphonse in La Vie Parisienne, Vitellozo in Lucrezia Borgia, Patacha in L'etoile, Malucho in El Barberillo De Lavapies, Giuseppe Nacarelli in The Light In The Piazza, Che in Evita, Ike Skidmore in Oklahoma, Lt. Peter Wright in The Secret Garden, El Señor Alcade in The Summer King and Sem in the opera Noye's Fludde. Christian originated and premiered the role of Paris in Christopher Logue's contemporary retelling of the Iliad entitled War Music with the Aurea Ensemble. This piece toured the North East and was featured at FirstWorks RI, and The Chicago & New York City Humanities Festivals.Christian also stays active in the commercial and film world and can be seen in commercials for CT State Lottery, KFC, United Airlines, Pearl Vision, Orbit Gum, The Hartford, Penn Foster College, Anton's Cleaners, Atlantic Broadband, and The Boston Road Calling Card. and playing Dante Farinelli in the German film Ways Of Love.
