Christopher James Shaw was born in Mahwah, New Jersey to Judy, an Occupational Therapist, and Pete Shaw, a college and professional football coach. He and his older brother, TJ, were raised in a Roman Catholic household in New Jersey and is of Hungarian descent. At a young age Chris had started to play football like his brother and father had done. He continued to be the Quarterback of his football team throughout his years in school. He had planned to play college football like his brother had for Virginia Tech. During his Junior year of high school he received his fourth concussion and was told by doctor's he could never play a contact sport again.Chris contemplated for some time on what to do for a career now that football is over. At this time his brother first started acting and brought the film industry to Chris' attention. Chris soon fell in love with it and completely immersed himself in the industry. He directed his first professional short film, "The Revengeful", in the summer of 2017. "The Revengeful" would go on to be premiered at The Marquee on Main Film Festival. The attention he received from this enabled him to jump start his career. He has done various directing and screenplay writing work until now he has been given the greenlight to direct and write "The Doughboy". Show less «
