Chris Kaye was born and raised in Sheffield, England. He attended Sheffield Hallam University, studying Film Production and Performing Arts with an emphasis on cinematography. After graduating, he formed a small media company with a fellow student, producing music videos and corporate projects across the North of England, whilst furthering his performance education with evening classes at the Yorkshire Academy.A chance encounter with an assistant director whilst waiting tables further cemented the idea of working in front of the camera rather than behind it. Kaye was asked if he would like to be part of a feature shooting nearby as he 'looked like a soldier'. This led to 8 days working on the 2014 film The Testament of Youth. It was mainly background work, but the time spent on a feature set was enough. The bug has taken a firm hold and Kaye turned his full efforts towards an acting career. WIth an expressive face and a penchant for accents, Kaye has taken roles varying from suave and serious to the downright comical. An avid martial arts practitioner since the age of 11, Kaye turned these life learned skills into a love for energetic and visceral stage combat. The post-apocalyptic thriller 'The Brink' (2018) saw these skills put to the test as he choreographed and directed the films' gritty combat.
