Chinaza Uche was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on September 20th 1987 to Chinma Uche (Math Teacher) and Uche Uche (Science Teacher). He was raised primarily in London, England before his family moved over to the States.His love for Acting began at a very young age, participating in school plays and doing his first professional play at the age of 10 with The Unicorn Theatre for Children.Even though his parents had always wanted him to become a medical doctor; at 15, he auditioned and was accepted as a drama major at the Greater Hartford Academy of The Arts in Hartford, CT. For the rest of high school he would keep both himself and his parents happy- taking Advance Placement Science classes in the morning at his regular high school (Hall High School, West Hartford, Connecticut) and training to be an actor in the afternoon at the Academy. By the end of his senior year he was decided on becoming an actor.In 2005 he moved to New York City to further his training as a Drama Major at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. While at NYU, he studied Acting and performed at the Experimental Theatre Wing ( where he also directed and wrote plays) and the Classical Studio ( where he spent a year working only on Shakespearean and Classical texts).After graduating from NYU in 2009 he has worked consistently on the stage, performing in New York City; other regional theaters and touring shows around the country.He made his feature film debut with a leading role in "Threading Needles" (2011).He currently resides and auditions in New York City.
