Chelsea Chiu was born in Los Angeles, CA. She is of Chinese/Filipino descent. She showed some interest in music at an early age beginning with piano lessons, choir and local theater productions. It was at 8 years old when she decided to take private voice lessons and also showed interest in acting. At the age of 9, she began singing the National Anthem for professional sports leagues such as Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings, as well as UCLA Baseball and Basketball. She has also performed for many events including Special Olympics World Games and the Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl. Aside from acting and singing, she also plays the piano and guitar.
