Charlie Plummer played the title role in King Jack, which won the Audience Award at the the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, released theatrically in 2016. He recently completed shooting the lead role in A24's Lean on Pete for writer/director Andrew Haigh, also starring Steve Buscemi and Chloë Sevigny. In 2017, he will be seen with Richard Gere, Laura Linney, Steve Coogan, Chloë Sevigny and Rebecca Hall in The Dinner, written and directed by Oren Moverman, and Behold My Heart alongside Marisa Tomei and Timothy Olyphant, directed by Joshua Leonard. He's also been cast as Leo in Stargirl opposite Joey King, to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke.Charlie had the great fortune to begin his professional career in Sopranos' creator David Chase's feature film, Not Fade Away, and the same year to be cast in a recurring role in HBO's award-winning Boardwalk Empire. Charlie was a series regular on the Netflix cold war drama Granite Flats, along with Christopher Lloyd and Parker Posey.On stage, Charlie acted alongside Tony-winner Kelli O'Hara in the acclaimed musical adaptation Far From Heaven at Williamstown Theatre Festival; he recreated the musical version of the classic bully role, Scut Farkus, in the national tour of A Christmas Story - The Musical. He also appeared with veteran TV actress/Tony-winner Harriet Harris in the new musical Yeast Nation at the NY Fringe Festival in 2012, and workshopped new musicals at the Roundabout Theatre and Playwrights Horizons.Charlie lives with his mother, actress Maia Guest, father, writer and producer John Christian Plummer, younger brother James, and Luigi, their English bulldog.
