Celia Kaleialoha Kenney was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Granddaughter of legendary Hawaiian entertainers Ed Kenney and Beverly Noa, Celia has displayed an affinity for the performing arts at a young age. Her grandfather was 'Wang Ta' in the original Broadway cast of Flower Drum Song.Celia has been exercising her vocals and performing skills on community theater stages since the age of 8. Over the past few years, she has played Jo in Little Women at Punahou School, Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz at the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei and she even played Ida Mae in Stagedoor Manor's Leap of Faith.Celia's training has taken her to New York every summer where she attends Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center. She was also admitted into a 5 week course studying acting at the prestigious Stella Adler Conservatory.In addition to being on stage Celia can be seen on the big screen in The Descendants, as 'Reina' where she shot opposite George Clooney and earned her SAG card. During the telecast of the 18th Annual SAG Awards, Celia was featured in a video segment about local-hire actors in feature film. What an honor!Celia continues to pursue her passion by studying voice, ballet, tap, jazz and acting.
