Cathie was born in New York City on August 6th and lives in New York City. Having received her BA in both English Language Arts and Theater Arts, Cathie performed in community theater before going into teaching. A former elementary school teacher, Cathie has taught pre- k through 2nd grade for 12 years. She is also a writer and photographer. Cathie is in the process of writing her second book, her first book, Till We Meet Again is coming out December 2019. Her mother, Antonia Theofanis, now a retired business owner and dressmaker/ seamstress, worked as an independent tailor for Kaufman Studios in the late 80s/ early 90s and her (late) father, Bill, was a cook in NYC diners.
