Cassi Maddox is an actress, writer and director born in Atlanta, Ga. She began performing at the age of five with a local dance troupe. After taking on the challenges of dance, she began to develop an interest in other creative outlets: singing, acting, writing and drawing. Throughout her childhood and public school education; she was involved in activities such as the African Dance Ensemble, chorus and her high school's theatre company.She attended Georgia State University to continue her studies of the arts. Throughout her years at Georgia State, she performed and worked as a stagehand in numerous GSU Player's productions. She was nominated for the 2014 Region IV - Irene Ryan's Acting Scholarship Competition held through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) where she placed in the top 8 in the region. In 2015, she graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies degree: Theatre Performance and the African American Experience.After graduating from GSU, she attended the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she performed the pivotal role of Medea in the hit theatrical production of, "Carnival Medea: A Bacchanal" written and directed by Dr. Shirlene Holmes and Rhoma Spencer.
