Born in Bremen, Germany and raised in London, England, Caspar has had a very international background. Both a Vassar College and American Film Institute alum, most of his higher education took place in the USA. Following his undergrad, he traveled the world for twelve years as an investment banker, having worked for Morgan Stanley, Scotia Capital, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and lastly J.P. Morgan, while he established a career as one of Europe's premier Biotechnology financiers raising over $US 1.8 Billion in capital during the period 1999 - 2002. He retired from banking in 2003 and after a year at the AFI he joined Film And Music Entertainment Inc. where he worked as SVP and Head of Production. In 2006 he formed his own Production company Fortune Films, LLC where he continues to produce motion pictures and other entertainment content including television and branded shows for the world-wide-web. In 2015, he was a co-founder of the virtual reality company Baron VR where he is now designing 'Experiences' for the burgeoning VR/AR space. In January 2018, he became a co-founder of The BCD Company, a media asset holding company that controls the motion picture company Fortune Films, the VR/AR Company Baron VR and the commercial production company Brawler LA. He has guest lectured for film and finance classes at NYU, AFI, UCLA, USC and Chapman University. Together with his wife he is also a patron of the AFI, AWF, Ocean Conservation Foundation, Sundance Institute and Challenger's Boys & Girls Club. Most recently he and his wife have become founding patrons of the new AMPAS museum in Los Angeles. He is also a co-founder of the Idaho's Sun Valley Film Festival currently in its 7th year.
