Carla Valentine-is a native New Yorker of Honduran decent who began her artistic training at HB Studios, New Conservatory Theatre and NYU's Creative Arts Team. She has performed on various New York stages including Henry St. Settlement, Intar-53, PS 122 and the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe.Since moving to LA, Carla has made several National Commercials and appeared on television in "Untold Stories of the ER" and "Diagnosis X".Her film credits include "Night of the Dead", "Gone", "Dust", "The Pill", "Amexica", "Bad" and "Traces of Tragedy".LA theatre include: "Cumbia de mi Corazon" at Bilingual Foundation of the Arts; The west coast premiere of Charles Busch's "Our Leading Lady"; Josefina Lopez's "The Cleaning Lady" at Casa 0101;"La Casa De Bernarda Alba" at Luna Playhouse; Suzan Lori Parks' "365 Days/Plays Festival" with the Mad Scene Theatre Company; "The Chinese Massacre" with the Circle X Theatre Company; "Splendor in the Grass" with the Underground Theatre Company and originated the lead role of (Emma) in "Shout out Above Life's Storms, I have Wings to Fly" by Meme Kelly.Carla frequently performs a one-woman historical presentation of Biddy Mason (1818-1891) that she developed with the Pasadena Museum of History.
